Charley at about 8 months crawling it up. It’s a month later and we’ve gotten to the point where you put him down in one spot, turn your head for a second, and he’s disappeared! Dangerous!
Charley is an 8 month old crazy crawler! He was doing the worm before Christmas, making his way to the presents under the tree to chew on the paper. But our little man is up on his knees and ready to chase you down! The gates are up, outlet covers are on and Im starting to freak about our play tables’ sharp edges. He is even pulling himself up on things and freaking out his mother. Get that kid a helmet.
Charley’s first Christmas was a hit! We spent Christmas Eve morning doing the Starbucks loop around our house and wrapping presents. Then the zahlis’s came over and we hit the pier. Super low tide, sand snowmen and swings. we then drove over to Nana and Papa’s for some do it yourself CPK. Charley loves chewing on the crust. He really would rather eat grown up food but with only 2 teeth it makes things kinda hard.
Charley and Coop got to open up their matching new jams. My neighbor Corinne told me he doesn’t match her boys during the day but who can’t resist matching jams so I have adopted her mantra and promise to keep the tradition going for years! Robb came over to make sure Santa knew where to deliver the new toys. And even though Charley doesn’t “need” a darn thing he got some mickey bath toys, a cool star wars abc book, some wooden blocks and an iPhone. His stocking was made with love by my cousin Susie. Charley got a toothbrush, big chocolate Santa and new snack bowls. (Had to write it down so I don’t forget.) we rushed over to my parents house for round 2 and Charley also got some rad ugly dolls, a baby shake weight and a bike seat! Cooper chose a baby Pluto for him. So for the kid who didn’t need anything he made out pretty well!
After a monster nap Charley showed off his almost crawling and his downright gleeful personality. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful and sweet little boy!
Charley was going for the Christmas tree. He’s a 7 month old scooting monster. You’ll love the Maggie surprise!
My first turkey trot! And yes I was totally awesome and slept most of the way and wore my special sparkle girls Christmas hat.
So being about a month late on posting pictures seems appropriate for a second child. Here are some cute pictures of Charley as a 5 month old drooling, smiling, screaching boy! He loves the shark bath robe that Andrea got him in Hawaii and the adorable yet over-priced onesie from Melanie!
Talking up a storm while we wait for Cooper and Daddy to ride Splash mountain! We spent the morning at a long boarding competition in Malibu. Showing of your versatility little man!
My quiet and lazy mornings with my sweet boys are coming to an end and will have to be reserved for weekends. Charley is a solid four months old and I am so thankful that I had my maternity leave and summer back to back to spend this time with him. The transition to nanas house seems like it might have some bumps because we got to do so much time bonding but I wouldn’t change a thing. Lazy mornings, trips to the beach, long naps and way too many cookies are the jewels of this summer and little Charley was with me the whole way.
